PA Councilman Arrested For Peeping, Prowling, Harassing Ex-GF: Report

A recently sworn-in councilman has been charged for harassing an ex-girlfriend, according to a report by PennLive citing an affidavit of probable cause filed by Pennsylvania state police.

Robert “Bob” Lance Buhrig Jr., 52, of Mechanicsburg, has been charged months after he had a "bad" break up with his ex at the start of 2021, but continued to attempt to contact her, the outlet reports citing the affidavit.

Things escalated when a man was spotted on surveillance videos peeping into her windows -- and Buhrig later today police he came to her home-- claiming he wanted to apologize for the breakup, according to the affidavit obtained by the outlet.

Buhrig started his term as a Mechanicsburg Borough Council member on Jan. 3, according to the council’s website

He has been charged with the following on Jan. 11, according to his court docket:

  • M1 Stalking,- Repeatedly Commit Acts To Cause Fear
  • M3 Loitering and Prowling At Night
  • S Harassment- Course of Conduct With No Legitimate Purpose

His preliminary hearing has been scheduled with Magisterial District Judge Daniel Freedman on Mar. 23 at 11:45 a.m., according to his court docket.
